When it comes to your delicate eyes and screens, many people just don’t realize how much screen time they are taking in each day or the consequences of that screen time. Our day-to-day lives have screens everywhere from the time we wake up and check our phones until we go to bed and watch television. During the hours in between, we have laptops, tablets, video games, more cellphones, screens in our cars, and inevitably there will be digital devices that are not mentioned here but still very much a part of our lives, even if not daily. When we are engrossed in our work or games, we tend to blink less often, which can lead to dry eyes. One way to help prevent the blue light from damaging our eyes is to wear blue light glasses. Many people are now starting to ask them the question is blue light bad for my eyes.

When your eyes become dry (due to insufficient blinking) while viewing a screen, the tear film on the eyes becomes less smooth, distorting the images that you see. Blue light not only causes your eyes to become dry, it also can lead to long term health consequences.
